Funeral service for Ms. Lorene Caldwell Pirtle, age 81 of Dellrose, TN will be conducted at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Keith Officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Pirtle was born on June 3, 1937 in the Booneshill Community of Lincoln County to the late Malvern and Verna Caldwell. She was a long time employee of Blue Ridge Shirt Mfg. And Lincoln Mfg. Lorene loved bowling, farming, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church in the Bryson Community. Mrs. Pirtle passed away on August 18, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Betty Ann Mitchell of Fayetteville, TN and Carrie Stevenson (Chad) Witt of Dellrose, TN; grandchildren, Alison (Jason) Campbell of Fayetteville, TN, Ashley Mitchell of Fayetteville, TN, Haley Brooke Witt, and Morgan Stevenson Witt of Dellrose; great-grandchildren, Braxton Rhodes and Zoey Campbell of Fayetteville, TN; and a sister, Lenis Ganus of Fayetteville, NC. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pirtle was preceded in death by her brother, Lester Caldwell; sisters, Louise Stevenson, and Lois O’neal; and a great-grandson, James Taylor Campbell.
Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Ms. Lorene Caldwell Pirtle.
