Although I did not know Jim and his family personally, I do know Ms. Billie to whom I am very fond. My heart goes out to the family, especially to Jim’s mother. I cannot imagine how very difficult it is for her, but I want her to know that my prayers and sincerest condolences are extended to her and all the family. May God bless each one of you during this time of great sorrow.

Best friends are so very rare. Jim was mine from 1965-1967 in High School and beyond. He was a treasure, and I will miss him dearly. Thank you Peg, and Mark for keeping me in the loop. May God bless you all.

    To the Chambers Family,
How blessed you were to have Jim as a husband, father, and grandfather. I was blessed to call him my friend. Lincoln County has suffered a great loss. Jim always had a smile and most often a joke to share when I saw him.
Your family will be remembered in my prayers. God Bless you all.

    Peg, Mary, Katie and family,
We have so many wonderful memories of Jim – his caring, generous nature and that big, infectious laugh. What a blessing to have had this man in our lives – a dear friend to Clay and me, a stand-in Grandpa for our girls. He has always been so loving and encouraging to “his girls”; they all adored him and those “unique” cheers of his. What fun he brought to every gathering, big or small.

We loved Jim so very much; he will live in our hearts always. We are praying God will give you great comfort in this time of hurt.
    Much love,
    Clay, Gwynn, Katie and Clay

    Chambers Family,
It can not be true! The man with a pep in every step with a stride to match that great enthusiasm gone on to the great big blue. Clark and I saw Jim the last time we were home visiting, I got my hug and Clark got that big man Jim handshake. What a guy! We both thought the world of Jim. Please know we are thinking of you all and sending many (((HUGS))).

I am so sorry about your dad’s passing. Marie had told me and I saw it on facebook so had offered up prayers for all of you. It is so sad losing a parent. I will be remembering all of you. Keep the sweet memories of your dad in your heart and he will continue to be with you. I only met your mother one time but she impressed me very much. Come with Marie again and have a sandwich with me, always enjoyed your lunch visits. The children are adorable see their pictures on f.b some.

I was so sad to learn of Jim’s passing, he was my good friend and I will miss him. He was dedicated to our community and was a great Red Cross Director. He was always smiling and kidding me about going bare-footed – about 15 years ago – when we were in Leadership. I said – Jim, my feet hurt with shoes on. He always said it’s good you learned to wear shoes, we would hate to see the Mayor without shoes. He was my friend.

May God and your beautiful memories help carry you through this difficult time.

    God Bless,
