Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. Gordon Edward Brannon, age 79, of Kelso, will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Alabama. Mr. Brannon was a native of Madison County, Alabama and son of the late Floyd McDonald and Elae May Reed Brannon. He was a farmer and enjoyed his John Deere Tractors and equipment.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Sara Lee Brannon; children Al (Dollie) Brannon of Huntland, Tammy Prock of Kelso, Shirley (Robert) West of Fayetteville, and Connie Hansard of Fayetteville; grandchildren Austin Nichols, Charles Nichols, Scottie (Savannah) Brannon, Alyssa (Kevin) Burgess, Ashley (Ryan) Huck, Gordon Prock, Jimmy Prock, Jesse West, Emily Phillips, and Brandon Phillips; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister Louise (Dallas) Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Dorsie Hillis, Marie Webb, Joyce Ann Jones, and Eula Hansard.

Visitation with the family will be 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Mr. Gordon Edward Brannon.
