Ernest (Tres) Rees, III, age 66, passed away on Wednesday (July 11, 2018) at Heritage Inn Assisted Living of Charlottesville, Va. Tres grew up in Fayetteville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Rees, Jr., and Jane M. Rees of Fayetteville. He is survived by his sisters, Helen Rees Janele (Jim) of Yorktown, Va., and Dr. Mary Rees Nishio of Nelson, BC, Canada; and his brother, Joe M. Rees (Shelda) of Chattanooga. He was a graduate of The McCallie School in Chattanooga and earned his BS in psychology at Towson State University in Towson, Md. Tres was known for his quick wit and dry sense of humor. A memorial service is planned for Friday, February 22, 2019, at 11 AM at Fayetteville First Presbyterian Church in the chapel with visitation to follow. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
