Obituary

A celebration of life for Mr. Earnest “Norman” Small, age 66, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. Mr. Small passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Small was a native of Lincoln County, TN, the son of the late Roman Eugene and Nellie Mae Bright Small. He was a store keeper at AEDC in Tullahoma, TN. He was loved by all who knew him and he loved to fish.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years Dorothy Hairston Small of Fayetteville, TN, son Eric Norman (Holly) Small of Chattanooga, TN, grandson Henry Beckham Small of Chattanooga, TN, siblings J.C. (Juanita) Dunlap of Tullahoma, TN, Gleason (Regina) Small of Greenbury, MD, nieces Wanda (Harold) Bryant, Wanetta Brown, Gina (Anthony) King, Angela (Steve) Wright, and Jamie (Kristin) Brown. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Juease Dunlap, Buford Dunlap and Geraldine Cooper.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 12 until 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.

    I’m so sorry to hear about Norman ( Rooster ). I’ll always remember when we was little boys and tried to get some baby chicks and the mother hen got us good . From that day on I called him Rooster.
