Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. Douglas Franklin Green, age 76, of Fayetteville, will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home, with Rev. Terrell Bain officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. Mr. Green passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017.

Mr. Green was born on Monday, August 19, 1940, in Lincoln County, Tennessee to the late Docker Parker Green and the late Alma DeLong Green. He was a retired security guard at Verizon wireless in Huntsville, AL, and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivor’s include his daughter Marsha (Roger) Reed of Prattville, AL; son Danny (Sherry) Green of Fayetteville, TN; grandchildren Daniel (Hope) Green, Brittany (Corey) Buckner, Megan Green, Beau Reed, and Brooke Reed; great-grandchildren Kennedy Green, David Green, and Samantha Green. In addition to his parents, Mr. Green was preceded in death by his sisters Joyce Seals, Louise Land, Nola Whitaker, Elma Pirtle, Agna Shelton; and brothers Logan Green, Thomas Green, and Woodrow Green.

Visitation with the family will be 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Douglas Franklin Green.
