Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. Donald Ray Pamplin, age 79, of Flintville, TN will be conducted at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Rice and Bro. Roy Markham officiating. Burial will follow in the Lincoln Cemetery.

Donald was born on August 2, 1939 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Ernest “Dink” and Velaria Estelle Price Pamplin. He worked as a meat cutter for A & P Grocery, Piggly Wiggly, and Lucky’s. Don enjoyed gardening, working on his farm, and was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ. Mr. Pamplin passed away on June 15, 2019.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Janice Kay Moore Pamplin; sons, Kenneth Ray Pamplin and wife Jacki of Fayetteville, and Troy Keith Pamplin and wife Michelle of Kelso; daughter-in-law, Glenda Pamplin of Fayetteville; grandchildren, David Keith Pamplin, Dawson Ray Pamplin, Alicia Nicole Gothard, and Amanda Noles (Alex) McAnally; and great-grandchildren, Hayden, Maddie, and Landry McAnally. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by two sons, Jeffrey “Jeff” Alan Pamplin in 2017, and Derrick Todd Pamplin in 1995; and a sister, Glennis Koonce.

Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Donald Ray Pamplin.
