Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. David Leamon Mitchell, age 56, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Monday, December 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow beside his wife Barbara Ann Mitchell in Shiloh Cemetery.

Mr. Mitchell was born April 15, 1962 in Lincoln County, TN to John David and Elizabeth Ann Mitchell and was employed by Lincoln Paving Co. as a truck driver.

Survivors in addition to his mother and father, include his brothers, Tony Mitchell (Debbie) of Kelso, TN; and Morgan (Robbie) Mitchell of Fayetteville, TN; two step-sisters, Lynitta Taylor (Jerry) of McBurg, TN; and Shelia Stubblefield; three step-brothers, Wayne Mitchell of Fayetteville,TN; Roger Mitchell of McBurg, TN; and Keith Mitchell of Elora,TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday December 16, 2018 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.

    So sorry about Elmo. He was a quiet spoken man with a big heart and boy could he play bass guitar. Worked with him at the Boonshill Opry’s so many times and he was always a team player. He is and will be missed by all who knew him. God Bless yall.
