Billy M. Stevenson, 75, of Fayetteville, TN died on November 7, 2008 in his home of Alzheimer’s Disease. He was a native of Lincoln County, TN. He resided in Huntsville for 35 years.

Mr. Stevenson was retired from NASA where he was awarded the Silver Snoopy award in 1998. He worked with the Structural Test Division or a supporting contractor for 45 years.

Mr. Stevenson served in the US Navy. He was a longtime member of Calvary Bible Church in Huntsville and a former Gideon.

He was a devoted family man and is survived by his loving wife Eva Hall Stevenson, three children Stan (Julie) Stevenson of Lebanon, Randy (Gayle) Stevenson of Monrovia, AL, Deborah (Robert) Moses of Atlanta, GA, brother Buford Stevenson, Jr. of McBurg, TN, sister Esther Thornton of Savannah, GA, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mr. Stevenson will be Monday November 10 at 11 AM at Higgins Funeral Home in Fayetteville with Rev. Robert Felgar officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM Sunday evening at Higgins Funeral Home.
