Obituary

Funeral service for Annie Ruth Wright, age 82, of Chattanooga, TN, will be conducted Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 1 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Wright officiating. Annie Ruth lived her life as a Godly woman and her favorite verse from the Bible was Proverbs 31:25 “She is clothed with strength and dignity and laughs without fear of the future”. She was also a wonderful cook and gardener and loved to design and sew clothes for her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Wright was a faithful, generous, and loving mother and grandmother who loved the Lord with all her heart.

Survivors include her children Patricia (Jeffrey) Herrell and Paul (Jackie) H. Wright, Jr.; grandchildren Chris (Sarah) Herrell, Ashley (Gil) Corpuz, Hal (Rachel) Wright, Lindsay (Jay) Lucas, and Robby (Elisabeth) Crawford; and great-grandchildren Eli Parker Herrell, Daniel Paul Lucas, Sadie Lucas, Chloe Crawford, Elijah Crawford, and Ben Crawford. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Harold Wright, Sr.; parents Davis and Edmund Walker; siblings Odell Posey, ED Walker, Roy Walker, and Philip “Sonny” Walker.

Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 10 am until 12 pm at Higgins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the charity of your choice.

    Ruth was such a sweet lady. I always enjoyed spending time with her when I lived in Chattanooga. She was so interesting and always made people feel so loved. She has received her very great reward now seeing her Savior face to face.
